Path to AGI

Top Researchers Reveal How Close We Are To True AGI

The pursuit of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is at the forefront of today's AI revolution. While tech giants and researchers race to develop systems that match or exceed human intelligence, the timeline for true AGI remains uncertain.

Details:

  • Optimists like Sam Altman and Dario Amodei predict AGI by 2025-2026, while Geoffrey Hinton estimates 5-20 years. They envision systems that can outperform experts across various fields

  • Moderate voices, including DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis, predict AGI development within the next decade, emphasizing the gradual evolution of AI systems capable of human-level reasoning

  • Conservative voices like Andrew Ng suggest AGI may take much longer, stressing the need for major breakthroughs. While hopeful for AGI in our lifetime, Ng is skeptical of imminent claims

Altman sees AGI as a tool to "elevate humanity," while others caution about its risks. Regardless of timing, AGI will reshape our relationship with technology and redefine intelligence.

  • The track is nominated for Record of the Year, competing with Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish, and Best Rock Performance, against Green Day and Pearl Jam

  • Released in November 2023, "Now and Then" is The Beatles' final collaboration, blending past and present through AI while staying true as their last official song

The winners will be revealed at the 2025 Grammy Awards on February 2nd, showcasing this blend of history and technology.
